Register to join our November 4, 2026, webinar, “SYCL Versus Everybody: Performance Difference Is a Bug,” to explore how SYCL stacks up against other programming models, including OpenMP and Kokkos, in performance comparisons.

This webinar will present a performance comparison of SYCL with other programming models, including OpenMP and Kokkos, and examine the factors behind the observed performance differences. We will also discuss the future direction of SYCL and how users can help shape its future.

Thomas Applencourt is Computational Scientist at Argonne National Laboratory interested in HPC. He is working now on Aurora, the first announced exascale system. He is interested in various programming models (OpenMP, SYCL) and low-level programming. He is the Chair of the SYCL of Working group since 2026.
