Organizer: DOE, Argonne National Laboratory.
The inaugural DOE/MEXT Open Industry Day is scheduled for Wednesday, September 24, 8am – 5pm, at the Gleacher Center in downtown Chicago. The Department of Energy (DOE) and the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology of Japan (MEXT) have an established framework for collaboration in the areas of HPC and AI. The collaboration entails 9 working groups, covering topics such as AI Frameworks & Architectures, Benchmarking, and Quantum Computing. The goal of the Open Industry Day is to provide an opportunity for 4 of the 9 working groups to present about major accomplishments and receive your valuable feedback. The Day also includes speaking opportunities as part of a panel discussion and industry tables available for you to distribute materials and network with over 100 attendees from the DOE National Labs, DOE ASCR Leadership, Riken, and other institutions in Japan. Immediately following the Open Industry Day, Charlie Catlett is organizing a Trillion Parameter Consortium (TPC) meeting, scheduled for September 25-26, at the Discovery Partners Institute, only two blocks from the Gleacher Center.
