Register to join the April 22, 2026 ALCF Developer Session webinar, “Visualization at the ALCF: Beyond the Basics,” presented by ALCF’s Visualization and Data Analytics Team, to learn how advanced visualization techniques can help researchers better understand, interpret, and communicate scientific results from large-scale simulations.
While many scientific campaigns begin with large-scale simulations on HPC systems, the ultimate objective is to understand, interpret, and communicate the results effectively. Visualization is essential to that process, transforming complex data into insight and enabling researchers to explore, analyze, and share their discoveries.
In this session, ALCF’s Visualization and Data Analytics Team will share practical strategies for presenting simulation data in clear and informative ways, highlighting a range of tools and techniques for creating visualizations that go beyond the basics. Topics will include generating camera paths, applying advanced ray-traced rendering methods, and using frameworks for in situ visualization so data can be explored while the simulation is still running.
