Discussion on AIML applications to particle accelerators (internal to ANL)
Abstract: The purpose of this roundtable is to provide an overview of current AI/ML projects in the field of accelerators at ANL and to explore opportunities for collaboration across groups and directorates. The discussion will focus on identifying synergies between ongoing efforts, sharing expertise, and leveraging resources to address challenges in accelerator science using AI/ML techniques. In the near term, the roundtable aims to foster collaboration and align efforts to maximize impact. In the mid-term, the goal is to formulate joint proposals that can address anticipated funding opportunities, including the expected call for proposals in November. It is hoped that this roundtable serves as a platform to strengthen inter-group connections and develop innovative, large-scale projects that advance the application of AI/ML in accelerator science and technologies.
