Abstract:
A multi-TeV muon collider offers a rare combination of precise measurement capabilities and unprecedented energy reach, surpassing anything achievable with current technologies. Interest in muon colliders has grown rapidly, both in the United States and worldwide. In this presentation, I will first highlight recent progress, then outline the critical research and development milestones that remain and present a vision for realizing a muon collider within the next two decades. I will also emphasize the areas where the U.S. is especially well positioned to make essential contributions to the new international muon collider collaboration.
