June In-Person Priority Week

We are thrilled to announce our this summer's CELS In-Person Priority week. From Monday, June 3rd – Friday, June 7th, all CELS staff are highly encourage to work onsite and participate in a wide array of face-to-face collaboration and Directorate activities. This in-person week will be jam packed with Division updates, all hands, and seminars; opportunities to welcome summer students, sign-up for mentorships, learn about career development; and gatherings to foster crosscutting collaboration and innovation. Check out the Timetable for a full listing of events. We look forward to seeing you onsite for this exciting week, and don’t forget to register for the CELS Directorate-wide Lunch!

      History and plans going forward: The CELS-women group was established in 2003. The goal is not to compete with WIST activities but rather to complement those broader events with CELS-specific opportunities. We generally meet informally a few times per year. At a minimum, we want to provide regular opportunities for informal interaction so that technical women in CELS get to know one another.

      An Open House will be held on Tuesday, June 4th between 1-4pm (Building 484) to showcase ATMOS, where instrumentation for Community Research on Climate and Urban Science (CROCUS) Urban Integrated Field Laboratory are being field tested. Attendees are required to wear pants and closed-toe footwear.
