Quantinuum hardware roadmap and recent results

by Chris Langer (Quantinuum)

America/Chicago
Description

Abstract: Quantinuum is a full-stack quantum computing (QC) provider and develops and offers hardware based on the Quantum Charged Coupled Device (QCCD) architecture. The QCCD architecture provides a unique approach to quantum computing where qubits are mobile and operating zones are fixed. In contrast to QC architectures where qubit and couplings between them are fixed, the QCCD architecture naturally provides all-to-all connectivity and high-fidelity operations. Additional advanced features include mid-circuit measurement, qubit reset, conditional logic, and variable angle gates. This talk will present our hardware roadmap, product offerings, recent progress towards scaling, and demonstrations of use cases enabled by our high performance and advanced features.

Bio: Chris Langer is a Fellow at Quantinuum where he works on architecture and provides technical direction and strategy for the hardware development. Chris joined Quantinuum’s predecessor, Honeywell Quantum Solutions, in 2016. Prior to Quantinuum, Chris spent 10 years working for Lockheed Martin in various capacities. Chris received his PhD in Physics from the University of Colorado at Boulder in 2006 under the direction of Nobel laureate David Wineland for work in ion trap quantum computing.
